Rotterdam, Netherlands, 20 November 2025 – We’re very pleased to invite you to this year's last edition of DronePort Connects, taking place on Tuesday, 16 December 2025 at Campus@Sea in The Hague.  This session will explore the theme:
Maritime Autonomy: From Subsea to Space.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐚 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬, 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐬, 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦?

Developments in maritime autonomy are accelerating. Systems that once operated separately, subsea sensors, autonomous and crewed vessels, drones in coastal airspace and satellite-based monitoring, are becoming increasingly interconnected. This emerging, layered environment requires smart coordination between technology, policy and operations to keep Europe’s maritime infrastructure secure, resilient and future-ready.

This edition brings together organisations from government, industry and research to explore how the Netherlands can strengthen its approach to this cross-domain field. The growing collaboration between DronePort Rotterdam and Campus@Sea connects port and coastal environments as real-life testing grounds where new concepts can be developed and refined, validated and scaled.

The programme will cover:

  • Policy developments shaping autonomous and digitally supported maritime operations
  • Connectivity across layers: from seabed systems to vessels, drones and satellites
  • Technological progress in sensing, AI, robotics and operational safety
  • Opportunities for cooperation across regions and sectors — from coast to port to offshore

You’re warmly invited to join us for an afternoon of insights, practical examples and constructive dialogue, followed by networking with a view over the North Sea.
